Furazolidone treatment for Helicobacter pylori infection: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Zhuge L, et al. - During this study, experts contemplated the efficacy and safety of furazolidone for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection. Satisfactory eradication rates could be achieved via furazolidone-containing treatments. Furthermore, it did not increase the incidence of total or severe adverse effects. Nevertheless, the incidence of milder side effects, such as fever and anorexia, ought to be taken into account while prescribing furazolidone-containing treatments to patients.
