Frequency-specific auditory brainstem response testing with age-appropriate sedation

Levit Y, et al. - In pediatric patients, experts sought to gauge the amount and characteristics of the audiological information attained in auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing with age-appropriate sedation. In ABR testing, a comprehensive evaluation of hearing status could be achieved with age-appropriate sedation. At an average, ∼10 threshold measurements were obtained during ABR testing with age-appropriate sedation, which permitted the analysis of the degree, type and configuration of the hearing loss.
