The Journal of Pediatrics Oct 20, 2017

Nakano SJ, et al. - The purpose of this trial was to contemplate the fibrosis and fibrosis-related gene expression in the myocardium of pediatric candidates with single ventricle with right ventricular failure. The findings illustrated that fibrosis did not serve as a primary contributor to right ventricular failure in infants and young children with single ventricular heart disease. In order to comprehend the benefits of antifibrotic therapies in the study cohort, advanced studies were warranted.
