Femoral anteversion is related to tibial tubercle-trochlear groove distance in patients with patellar dislocation
Arthroscopy Dec 18, 2019
Xu Z, et al. - A total of 60 individuals with a diagnosis of patellar dislocation were involved in this study in order to assess the possible association between the tibial tubercle-trochlear groove (TT-TG) distance and the femoral anteversion of various segments of the femur in people with patellar dislocation. The TT-TG distance was significantly related to the diaphyseal anteversion and distal anteversion. The total anteversion was correlated with proximal anteversion and diaphyseal anteversion. The intraclass correlation coefficient exhibited that the measurements of involved parameters were presented with a remarkable agreement. The study explicated that individuals with high diaphyseal anteversion and distal anteversion had a greater TT-TG distance however the value of total and proximal femoral anteversion were independent of the value of TT-TG distance.
