Fecal immunological blood test is more appealing than the guaiac-based test for colorectal cancer screening

Le Pimpec F, et al. – This study was performed to ascertain the causes for current compliance with fecal immunological testing (FIT) among non–responders to guaiac fecal occult blood testing (g-FOBT), termed “converts”, in a French district. The physicians revealed that among non–respondents, the simplicity of FIT and the endorsement of practitioners were both major motivations for FIT compliance in at least two previous consecutive campaigns.
