Expression of TNFα receptors on immunocompetent cells is increased in atopic dermatitis

Lopatnikova JA, et al. - Atopic dermatitis (AD) patients were assessed, in order to determine the associations of parameters of TNFα membrane receptors (TNFR) expression on immunocompetent cells with disease severity before and after therapy. Findings revealed that AD patients had increased TNFR expression on immune cells. Additionally, compared with healthy individuals (HI), alterations in the parameters of TNFRα expression were found to be related to the disease severity index SCORAD.
