Excellent survival and good outcomes at 15 years using the Press Fit Condylar Sigma total knee replacement
Journal of Arthroplasty Apr 01, 2018
Oliver WM, et al. - Researchers reported 15-year survival, clinical and radiographic follow-up data for the Press Fit Condylar Sigma total knee replacement (PFC Sigma TKR). Findings suggested that for patients who underwent knee arthroplasty, the PFC Sigma TKR represented a durable, effective option, with excellent survival and good clinical and radiographic outcomes at 15 years. Out of the surviving knees for which X-rays were available, 16.9% had radiolucent lines and in 1.4% clear radiographic evidence of loosening was seen. At 15 years, the mean Knee Society Score (KSS) knee score was 77.4 compared with 31.7 preoperatively.
