Evaluation of clinicopathological and treatment characteristics of 80 patients with acquired perforating dermatosis
Dermatologic Therapy Oct 31, 2020
Karaali MG, Erdil D, Erdemir VA, et al. - A retrospective, observational, cross-sectional study was designed to assess the characteristics of patients diagnosed with acquired perforating dermatosis (APD) and to determine the variations in comorbidities according to APD subtypes. Between January 2008 and January 2019, patients diagnosed with APD were reviewed. Participants in the study were 80 patients. Diabetes mellitus was the most common concomitant disease. Many diseases may be associated with APD. The high mortality rate associated with underlying systemic diseases indicates that patients diagnosed with APD are cautious in terms of mortality.
