Hu D, et al. - A total of 100 participants were examined to study the consequences of stannous fluoride (SnF₂) dentifrice (Colgate Total^SF) stabilized with zinc phosphate vs a sodium fluoride control dentifrice for management of gingivitis and plaque over a period of 6-month in Chengdu, China. They noted statistically significant reductions in gingival inflammation and improvement in plaque control at the 3- and 6-month follow-ups in both the groups. They also found a vital decrease in multiple gingival and plaque indexes with SnF₂ dentifrice.
