Endoscopic ultrasound-guided rendezvous technique for failed biliary cannulation in benign and resectable malignant biliary disorders

Shiomi H, et al. - The efficacy and safety of endoscopic ultrasound-guided rendezvous technique (EUS-RV) for benign and resectable malignant biliary disorders were evaluated in this study. For unsuccessful biliary cannulation of benign or resectable malignant biliary disorders, EUS-RV could be a safe and feasible salvage method. Use of a 4-Fr tapered tip catheter could improve the overall EUS-RV success rate.
