Rawson H, et al. - This study was coordinated to evaluate emergency nurses knowledge and self-rating of practice when caring for older patients in the Emergency Department. The authors found variation in knowledge and self-rating of practice associated with the care of older patients. The association between knowledge and self-ratings of practice in relation to the actual emergency nursing care of older people and patient outcomes warranted additional investigation.
