Elevated levels of serum sclerostin are linked to adverse cardiovascular outcomes in peritoneal dialysis patients

Gong L, et al. - In this prospective observational study including stable peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients, the correlation between elevated serum sclerostin levels and chronic kidney disease outcomes was studied. Findings suggested that high sclerostin levels may predict the onset of cardiovascular events (CVEs) and cardiovascular mortality among PD patients.
