Efficiency of chewable toothbrush in reduction of dental plaque in students
BMC Oral Health Apr 26, 2019
Mladenovic R, et al. - Via this prospective study including 346 students, researchers examined the efficacy of chewable toothbrush vs a conventional brush. Students completed an e-questionnaire outside the dental office. Division of respondents into two groups was done [control group: used conventional toothbrushes; the tested group: used chewable toothbrush]. Outcomes revealed no significant difference in the effectiveness of the tested brushes. This suggests chewable toothbrushes are beneficial in reducing plaque, primarily in the inability to use conventional brushes.
