Efficacy of melatonin for sleep disturbance following traumatic brain injury: A randomised controlled trial

Grima NA, et al. - As a part of this trial, researchers contemplated the efficacy of melatonin supplementation for sleep disturbances in patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI). An effective improvement was obtained in the subjective sleep quality along with certain aspects of objective sleep quality via melatonin supplementation over a 4-week period. It was found to be safe for patients with TBI.
