Effect of toothpaste containing amine fluoride and stannous chloride on the reduction of dental plaque and gingival inflammation: A randomized controlled 12-week home-use study
International Journal of Dental Hygiene Mar 01, 2019
Lorenz K, et al. - Researchers assessed 241 individuals to examine the efficiency of toothpaste containing amine fluoride and stannous chloride vs monofluorophosphate toothpaste (control) on dental plaque and gingivitis in this single-center, controlled, randomized, double-blinded clinical study. They observed a comparable reduction in plaque and gingivitis in both the toothpaste over 12 weeks. But, they preferred the application of the amine fluoride/stannous chloride toothpaste as it led to clinically meaningful and more pronounced plaque reduction.
