Effect of oral glycine on the clinical, spirometric and inflammatory status in subjects with cystic fibrosis: A pilot randomized trial

Vargas MH, et al. - The possible beneficial effect of glycine in cystic fibrosis (CF) patients was investigated herein. Glycine intake in these subjects resulted in improved clinical, spirometric and inflammatory status after just 8 weeks of intake. This finding indicates that glycine might constitute a novel therapeutic tool for these patients.
