Effect of different intraorifice barriers and bleaching agents on the fracture resistance of endodontically treated anterior teeth
Journal of Endodontics Sep 30, 2018
Oskoee SS, et al. - Experts gauged the impact of different intraorifice barriers (IOBs) on the fracture resistance (FR) of endodontically treated anterior teeth bleached with various bleaching agents (BAs). A similarity was noted in the action of mineral trioxide aggregate and calcium-enriched mixture to resin-modified glass ionomer as an IOB. Unlike hydrogen peroxide 35% and sodium perborate, the FR was not significantly decreased by carbamide peroxide 45%. They noted a significant impact of BAs on the FR; nonetheless, significance in the effect of the IOB and the interactive effect of these variables was not seen.
