Echocardiographic patterns of postresuscitation myocardial dysfunction

Cha KC, et al. - In this work, postresuscitation myocardial dysfunction (PRMD) manifestations during the post-cardiac arrest period were investigated with serial echocardiography. About one-third of patients resuscitated from cardiac arrest showed PRMD. Echocardiographic patterns of post-cardiac arrest left ventricular dysfunction included global hypokinesia, regional wall motion abnormalities, and Takotsubo pattern.
