Early complications and radiological outcome after distal radius fractures stabilized by volar angular stable locking plate
Archives of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery Dec 07, 2018
Quadlbauer S, et al. - Experts gauged the incidence of complications after distal radius fractures (DRF) stabilization using palmar angular stable locking plate. A safe form of treatment was the stabilization of DRF by palmar angular stable locking plate. They documented a good clinical and radiological outcome with no complications in the majority of the cases. They noted no impact of gender and type of immobilization on the complication rate and an age over 65 years is not related to an increased risk for complications or restricted range of motion (ROM).
