Yang F, et al. - The consequence of autophagic dysregulation on tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC)-associated hypopigmentation underwent a comprehensive analysis. It was observed that autophagic dysregulation was exhibited by melanocytes of patients with TSC. This, in turn, reduced pigmentation, serving as the basis for the hypomelanotic macules characteristic of TSC.
