Ghione S, et al. – This population–based study intended to illustrate changes in incidence and phenotypic presentation of pediatric–onset inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in northern France during a 24–year period. Across a 24–year span, Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC) incidences increased dramatically in adolescents, implying that one or more strong environmental factors could predispose this population to IBD.
