Differentiation between vasogenic edema and infiltrative tumor in patients with high-grade gliomas using texture patch-based analysis

Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Jan 10, 2018

Artzi M, et al. - In this study, researchers tried to classify the nonenhancing lesion area in patients with high-grade glioma (HGG) into tumoral and nontumoral components using radiomics patch-based analysis, based on conventional MRI. Via a radiomics patch-based analysis, they succeed at classifying the nonenhancing lesion area in patients with HGG. In addition, promising initial results were obtained and data suggested the potential of the proposed method to assist in clinical decision-making and to improve therapy response assessment in patients with HGG.
