Differences in the Majeed Pelvic Score between injured and uninjured patients

Brouwers L, et al. - In this Cross-sectional cohort study, 195 cases pelvic ring disruptions vs 500 controls were evaluated to quantify the differences in the Majeed Pelvic Score (MPS) between injured and uninjured subjects in urban level 1 trauma center. Researchers noted lower MPS score in subjects of age <65 years (81.6) when compared with the control group (88.3). The patient group scored worse on the sexual function, work, and standing dimensions in the <65 groups. They also reported worse score of the patient group (in the ≥65 group) on the dimensions sitting and standing whereas better on the dimension pain.
