Diagnostic accuracy of a single-lead portable ECG device for measuring QTc prolongation
Annals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology Aug 01, 2019
Bekker CL, et al. - In a large group of patients visiting a cardiology outpatient clinic, researchers evaluated the diagnostic accuracy of a single-lead portable ECG device vs a standard 12-lead ECG for measuring QTc-intervals. ECG records from 101 patients were obtained. A portable single-lead ECG recorder (Heartcheck) was also used to measure adult patients visiting the cardiology outpatient clinic for in patients who came in for a 12-lead recording. According to findings, the Heartcheck single-lead portable ECG device was inadequate to provide diagnostic precision to measure QTc intervals in cardiac patients vs a 12-lead ECG device.
