Barron MM, et al. - Authors attempted to discover the correlation between prediabetes and diabetes with latent tuberculosis (TB) with the aid of National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey data. Findings reported that diabetes was related to latent TB infection among adults in the United States, even after adjusting for confounding factors. Individuals with co-prevalent diabetes and latent TB could serve as a target for latent TB therapy since diabetes increased the risk of active TB.
