Thielen BK, et al. - Researchers sought to assess the clinical characteristics and epidemiological findings related to influenza C that typically causes mild respiratory tract disease. Findings revealed seasonal circulation of influenza C with year-to-year variability. Although most frequent among young children, it occurred in all ages. Some cases that were positive for influenza C had severe disease. It was particularly noted among those with comorbid conditions.
