Dermoscopy in vitiligo: Diagnosis and beyond

International Journal of Dermatology Nov 01, 2017

Jha AK, et al. - An inspection was carried out of the dermoscopic features of vitiligo. The authors also investigated their link with the disease activity. Dermoscopy was disclosed to be beneficial in contemplating the stage of evolution and the status of disease activity in vitiligo. The most useful dermoscopic clues were discovered in the perifollicular region. This was attributed to the progressive lesions exhibiting perifollicular pigmentation and stable/remitting lesions demonstrating the perifolliclar depigmentation.
