Â This population-based study was conducted to determine the relationship between invasive dental procedures and infective endocarditis associated with oral streptococci among people with prosthetic heart valves. Accumulated evidence suggested that invasive dental procedures might contribute to the development of infective endocarditis in adults with prosthetic heart valves.
