Cruciate-retaining vs posterior-stabilized primary total arthroplasty: Clinical outcome comparison with a minimum follow-up of 10 years
Journal of Arthroplasty Mar 23, 2018
Serna-Berna R, et al. - This study was carried out to compare clinical outcomes between patients who received contemporary cruciate retaining (CR) or posterior stabilized (PS) primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA), with a minimum follow-up of 10 years. Findings did not suggest the superiority of one design over the other. Expecting long-term successful outcomes and high survival, both the designs could be used. The choice of the design was seen to be depended on the status of the posterior cruciate ligament and surgeon preference.
