Cone photoreceptor macular function and recovery after photostress in early non-exudative age-related macular degeneration
Clinical Ophthalmology Aug 02, 2018
Rodriguez JD, et al. - Researchers sought to identify the parameters from cone function and recovery after photostress that detect functional deficits in early non-exudative age-related macular degeneration (AMD). They also ascertained the repeatability of these parameters. The potential as a novel parameter to evaluate the visual dysfunction in early AMD was demonstrated by the baseline cone threshold. In AMD subjects, deficits were consistently detected by this outcome and were differentiated from age-matched controls with high test–retest repeatability.
