Complementary and alternative therapies for management of odor in malignant fungating wounds: A critical review

Gethin G, et al. – Authors here assessed the current evidence for the use of complementary and alternative therapies in the management of odor in malignant fungating wounds (MFWs). Evidence from randomized controlled trials (RCTs) does not support the use of complementary and alternative therapies in the management of MFW–associated malodor. Green tea seems to have potential as a secondary dressing to manage odor. They recommend further research in this area.
