Comparison of relation between multiple parameters of glycemic variability and coronary plaque vulnerability assessed by virtual histology–intravascular ultrasound

Journal of Diabetes Investigation Oct 06, 2017

Otowa-Suematsu N, et al. - The authors performed this study to compare the relationship between multiple parameters of glycemic variability and coronary plaque vulnerability assessed by virtual histology–intravascular ultrasound. They proposed that compared to continuous overlapping net glycemic action calculated every 1 h (CONGA-1) and mean of daily differences (MODD), standard deviation of glucose levels (SD glucose) and mean amplitude of glycemic excursions (MAGE) were more highly correlated with coronary plaque vulnerability, and thus likely better predictors of coronary artery disease.
