Abduljabbar T, et al. - The researchers compared the peri-implant clinical and radiographic parameters in cigarette-smokers (CS) and never-smokers (NS) with short dental implants (6 mm in length). Short dental implants could remain functionally stable in CS in a manner similar to NS, under strict oral hygiene maintenance protocols.
