Comparison of Mobi-C cervical disc arthroplasty vs fusion for the treatment of symptomatic cervical degenerative disc disease
World Neurosurgery | Apr 01, 2018
Ning GZ, et al. - Researchers evaluated the effectiveness and safety of Mobi-C cervical disc arthroplasty (MCDA) vs anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) for symptomatic cervical degenerative disc disease. Compared to ACDF, MCDA presented fewer subsequent surgical intervention, lower neck pain score, lower incidences of ASD at superior and inferior level, greater range of motion and higher score of patient satisfaction. However, MCDA and ACDF showed no significant differences in terms of surgery time, blood loss, duration of hospitalization, neck disability index and neck pain scores.
