Comparison of intubation conditions with CMAC Miller videolaryngoscope and conventional Miller laryngoscope in lateral position in infants: A prospective randomized trial

Paediatric Anaesthesia Jan 19, 2018

Jain D, et al. - Herein, researchers tested their hypothesis that endotracheal intubation with CMAC videolaryngoscope, in lateral position in infants, would afford a better laryngoscopic view and attenuate the time to intubation compared to the Miller blade. They found that CMAC videolaryngoscope vs the Miller laryngoscope decreased the time taken to intubate and attenuated the intubation difficulty and hence, may be more useful device when intubating the trachea of infants in the lateral position.
