Comparison of basophil activation test and skin testing performances in NMBA allergy

Dewachter P, et al. - In patients experiencing immediate neuromuscular blocking agent (NMBA) hypersensitivity, the role of basophil activation test (BAT), compared with the results of skin testing, was determined. Also, researchers compared skin test results and BAT performances in the identification of alternative NMBAs. BAT did not replace skin testing in the assessment of NMBA allergy, in the technical conditions present in this study.
