Comparative effectiveness of initial surgery vs initial systemic therapy for metastatic kidney cancer in the targeted therapy era: Analysis of a population-based cohort

Macleod LC, et al. - The overall survival of metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC) patients managed with initial cytoreductive nephrectomy (CN) was compared with initial systemic therapy. It was shown that initial CN correlated with improved survival compared with initial systemic therapy in a contemporary population-based mRCC cohort.
