Lisspers K, et al. - This study was performed in a large Swedish primary care real-life asthma population, to describe the prevalence of comorbidities, disease burden and mortality across age groups. Frequent incidence of comorbid disease was reported. The presence of comorbidity was shown to have an influence on exacerbations and hence, the detection, as well as treatment of comorbidities with impact on asthma outcomes, are essential to improve asthma care.
