The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology Mar 24, 2018

Rajendram R, et al. - This study was designed in order to examine if orbital radiotherapy or antiproliferative immunosuppression would confer any additional benefit in the case of thyroid eye disease. Radiotherapy did not confer any additional benefit in patients receiving oral prednisolone for 24 weeks. Additionally, no added benefit was reported for the addition of azathioprine in the primary analysis. Data exhibited improved clinical outcome at 48 weeks with azathioprine treatment.
