Combined assessment of left ventricular end-diastolic pressure and ejection fraction by left ventriculography predicts long-term outcomes of patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction
Heart and Vessels Nov 19, 2017
Saito D, et al. - This study was undertaken to investigate whether combined assessment of left ventricular end-diastolic pressure (LVEDP) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) improves prediction of major adverse cardiac events (MACE). Regarding MACE prediction following successful PCI for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), combined LVEDP/LVEF assessment was found to be useful. Furthermore, combined LVEDP/LVEF assessment could facilitate risk stratification, as it predicts LV remodeling.
