Combination chemical peels are more effective than single chemical peel in treatment of mild-to-moderate acne vulgaris: A split face comparative clinical trial

Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology Sep 20, 2018

Nofal E, et al. - In the treatment of mild-to-moderate acne, authors assessed the clinical effectiveness and safety of combination chemical peels vs single peel. Compared to single peel, combination peels resulted in a higher and earlier therapeutic response with a reasonable cost that is maintained for relatively long periods. The best results were seen with combination sequential peels. Significant improvement of acne lesions was seen with all therapies, but the improvement was significantly higher and earlier with combination peels. Minimal side effects were noted.
