Clozapine and gastrointestinal hypomotility

Cohen D - This study was performed to examine the association between clozapine use and risk of gastrointestinal hypomotility (GIH) in patients with therapy-resistant schizophrenia. For the whole duration of clozapine treatment, alertness for and/or treatment of GIH was required, as the occurrence of severe cases of GIH was not restricted to a certain treatment duration.
