Clinical significance of vascular endothelial growth factor in hepatitis C related hepatocellular carcinoma in Egyptian patients

Atta MM, et al. – The role of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) (measured in plasma and liver tissue) was studied in patients with hepatitis C virus–related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In addition, experts sought to compute its significance in the diagnosis and prognosis of HCC. In patients who had been diagnosed with chronic hepatitis C (CHC), plasma levels of VEGF appeared to be a useful diagnostic and prognostic marker for HCC.
