Lai CC, et al. - Experts sought to develop an adequate model using reliable clinical and physical factors to predict pediatric obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome (OSAS). In order to predict pediatric OSAS, the proposed noninvasive, simple, inexpensive, and easy to perform screening tool could be used. Clinical physicians may be prompted by an abnormal calculated apnea index (AHI) to conduct further polysomnography (PSG) diagnostics and treatment.
