Clinical pattern and prevalence of upper gastrointestinal toxicity in ketamine abusers

Liu SYK, et al. – Purpose of this study is to examine the clinical pattern and prevalence of upper gastrointestinal symptoms in inhalational ketamine abusers. In over one–quarter of ketamine abusers, upper gastrointestinal toxicity is highly prevalent although epigastric symptoms are unusual in the young population. When assessing young patients with epigastric symptoms, enquiry about ketamine abuse is recommended.
