Clinical outcomes of patients undergoing antiviral therapy while awaiting liver transplantation

Journal of Hepatology Aug 26, 2017

Pascasio JM, et al. – The probability of delisting in patients who underwent antiviral therapy and the clinical outcomes delisted patients were investigated. Among patients awaiting liver transplantation (LT), antiviral therapy was safe and efficacious. Because of clinical improvement, which appeared to be stable in most of them, a quarter of patients with decompensated cirrhosis could be delisted. Delisting, therefore, was a safe strategy that could spare organs and benefit patients with a more urgent need.
