Wiest M, et al. - The potential clinical implications of individual subsets of T cells in adult atopic asthma patients was investigated herein. Findings showed that CCR4⁺CCR7⁺ memory, but not CCR4⁺CCR7^- memory, α4⁺, and CTLA4⁺ CD4⁺ T cells in patients demonstrated significant clinical implications in atopic asthma. It was also noted that the frequency of such CD4⁺ T cell subsets in adult atopic asthma patients could not be changed with the use of current common therapeutics.
