Clinical application of biparametric MRI texture analysis for detection and evaluation of high-grade prostate cancer in zone-specific regions

American Journal of Roentgenology Dec 14, 2017

Niu XK, et al. - Researchers carried out this study to examine the performance of biparametric MRI texture analysis (TA) in detecting and evaluating high-grade prostate cancer in zone-specific regions. Collected evidence indicated that for identifying high-grade prostate cancer, a TA-based model that included biparametric MRI could be used. Specific parameters that were extracted from TA could be additional tools for assessing tumor aggressiveness.
