Clinical and radiological features of posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) in patients with pre-eclampsia and eclampsia
Clinical Radiology Aug 11, 2017
Dong XY, et al. – This study was sought to examine clinical and radiological features among posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) patients. It was noted that nearly one–third of pre–eclampsia or eclampsia patients with neurological symptoms have PRES. The findings suggested that visual disturbances, seizure, multiple production history are independent risk factors for PRES. Moreover, visual disturbances have a strong correlation with eclampsia whether patients have PRES or not. Remarkably, visual disturbances are independently related to cytotoxic oedema among PRES+ patients.
