Choroidal blood flow and thickness as predictors for response to anti-vascular endothelial growth factor therapy in macular edema secondary to branch retinal vein occlusion
Retina Mar 03, 2018
Okamoto M, et al. - The choroidal blood flow and subfoveal choroidal thickness (SCT) were evaluated by the experts in eyes with macular edema secondary to branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO). Results demonstrated that the SCT of eyes with a BRVO was significantly thicker than that of the fellow eye at the baseline. Hence, choroid appeared to be involved in the pathology of BRVO. Data illustrated that SCT at the baseline could serve as a predictive factor in the treatment of intravitreal injection of ranibizumab for macular edema secondary to BRVO.
